Your Rights Under Federal Law

You have the right under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) to:

  • Obtain and review a copy of your credit report from each of the three major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) for free once every 12 months at www.annualcreditreport.com
  • Dispute incomplete or inaccurate information in your credit report directly with the credit bureaus at no cost
  • Have credit bureaus investigate your disputes within 30 days
  • Add a consumer statement to your credit report if a dispute is not resolved in your favor
  • Have negative information removed from your credit report after the legal time limits (generally 7 years for most items, 10 years for bankruptcies)

Credit Repair Services

You do NOT need to pay anyone to dispute information in your credit report. You can do this yourself for free.

If you choose to use Credit Rise AI to assist with this process, you have additional rights under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA):

  • We cannot charge you until we have completed the services we promised
  • You have the right to cancel your contract within 3 business days without penalty
  • We cannot make false claims about our services or promise specific results
  • We cannot advise you to make false statements to credit bureaus or creditors
  • We cannot advise you to alter your identification to prevent display of your credit record
